I grew up going to Cincinnati Reds games at Riverfront Stadium with my dad. There are few things I have fonder memories of than my dad and I sitting in the stands watching baseball and enjoying the time spent together. I remember how ecstatic we were when the 1990 Reds team swept the Oakland A's in the World Series. During all that time, Barry Larkin anchored the team, provided classy leadership, and demonstrated the importance of hustle, teamwork, and being good in the field and batting.
Larkin getting voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame is truly an honor he worked hard for and deserves. He was and is a class act, and Cooperstown will be better for having him.
