Larue Dillo Dust is actually a thing??

Screw Larue. This is the same stuff guaranteed. Made in Texas just a few miles away from Larue I believe.
I mean its free right, when you run low you build another $2500 AR, order a $1500+ piece of glass and finally add a $250 qd mount and your back to BBQ’ing in no time.
I have a decent stock of it from when I bought a few mounts in years past, or from doing the Xmas exchange, etc. It’s good stuff, but not worth buying another mount to get more when I run out.
But is free right? Be thankful they don't give Lone star dildos the wait times would be atrocious.
I mean it’s pretty damn tasty, but I’m not writing home about it. Just another marketing strategy. I think everyone hates on Larue so much because they are far superior at marketing strategies than other companies that offer much better products. I use their QD mounts on several of my long guns, but I’m no fanboy, and certainly don’t own any of their firearms.
They do however have a ? marketing department, and that is what gets them sales. Geissele does a pretty solid job with marketing as well. Use the “dildo dust” on some scrambled eggs and you will not be disappointed like previously stated above.

I am a fanatic about rubs. I also own 3 Larue rifles which I am very happy with but the rub is the rub and food is king
They have some good deals. Better call before ordering though.

BBQ Beef ribs and BBQ pork ribs... Dillo Dust char then slow cook in cast iron with home-made maple-Bourbon BBQ sauce for 4 hours...

Haven't ordered from LaRue for a while so a friend that pesters me for DD thanks you. Coincidentally, I've been thinking about an Aimpoint Micro T2 and their price w/ QD mount ain't bad.
I haven’t kept up with the MRO lately. I have an early serial number one. I hate that it’s ever so slightly magnified and has a slight blue tint. I like the T2 better though. I think they revised it recently...MRO that is.

I’m dead serious that fucker came in handy and is washable and reusable. I ended up keeping it after use. It’s in my garage.
