Paid on Oct 5th, 2019 - yet to receive rifle.
Last contact from seller was October 23rd, with an apology for delay and promised ship date of 10/30/2019.
Dates come and gone, haven't heard from seller as of 11/1/2019.

I just banned him. That's all we can do. You can take it up with law enforcement from your end as you see fit.
This doesn't look like a scammer, but who knows. He did ship at least one item as I was looking through prior transactions.
I'll update if I ever receive tracking information, rifle, or funds returned. Can always be hopeful. I cut the guy some slack for the first 3 weeks after I sent funds, I haven't hounded him at all - just sent friendly inquiries when he missed dates he told me he'd ship.
I was in early on this rifle, but ultimately backed away when seller wouldn't tell me his real name or provide copy of state issued drivers license. Smelled bad from the start. I have some phone numbers and emails if you want or need in pursuit of your original funding.
Hopefully recourse won’t be necessary and everything works out. I’d prefer the rifle just shipped and he got unbanned from snipershide.
I understand people are busy. But the lack of coms has been the recurring theme.
Unfortunately it’s PayPal gift. Haven’t had an issue with it in ten years, but hey live and learn.
Fortunately for me. He lives in Texas, and so do I, so a demand letter and small claims court would be the answer and for the amount of the rifle something I’d pursue. Hoping it doesn’t go that way but I’m prepared and it’s not a route that’s foreign to me.

I've heard that in some instances, sometimes PayPal accounts get hacked by unscrupulous people and PayPal will refund the amount regardless of the label structure of the payment. This is just something I've heard.

The dudes a shitbag, after doing a lot of research he’s lived in like 30 different places. Moves around state to state, leaves a trail of civil eviction lawsuits and bankruptcies in his wake. Been divorced multiple times, sued for lack of child support payment, warrants out for his arrest.
He’s living in his dads / grandpas’ house in midland because he can’t get a line of credit or pass any check for housing these days.
I’ve contacted his family, they don’t talk to him, his kids want nothing to do with him.
I’m talking to a detective now about him. We’ll see what happens.
He has a history of failure to appear for civil lawsuits. non payment of child support etc. a piece of shit scammer with no assets to go after.
