Actually, both the <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">
Kidd Supergrade Receiver</span></span> and <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">
Kidd Classic Receiver</span></span> have ZERO CANT (flat) rails. Thats' right, zero cant - not 20 MOA.
I had spoken to MariPat about 1.5 years ago while the Kidds' were still in development of their receivers, and MariPat confirmed that the Kidd Receivers would have flat (zero cant) picatinny rails. I asked MariPat if 20 MOA rails might be offered in the future, and MariPat replied "No". That was a real bummer for me, as the Kidd Supergrade Receiver would have been great with a threaded barrel, rear lug and canted base. Unfortunately, since the rail is integral you cannot even bolt-on a canted base. That is why I used an MOA 10/22 Receiver to build my custom threaded barrel 10/22.
After the introduction of Kidd's new rifles and release of the <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">
Kidd Supergrade Receiver</span></span> and <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">
Kidd Classic Receiver</span></span>, I called Kidd again to see if anything had changed with regard to a canted rail on their receivers. Nope - the Kidd Receivers have flat rails and Kidd will not be offering canted rail receivers in the future.
If you don't believe me, a quick call conversation with MariPat or Tony will confirm that the Kidd Receivers have flat picatinny rails. You'll have to leave a message or wait until Monday, as Kidd is closed on the weekends. Their number is (830) 557-4411.
