late-80s Oly CAR-AR

Hi all; I recently acquired an older (SGW "stop-sign" logo) Olympic Arms 20" HBAR rifle, model CAR-AR. Serial number puts it at 1989 production. I haven't had much time to shoot lately and when I do the Oly isn't on the short list of rifles that need exercise. Consequently I haven't even function fired it! Anyone have experience with one of these? Barrel twist is not marked... assume 1:9? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Look up the Olofson case out of Wisconsin and decide for yourself how to proceed. He was convicted of possessing an unregistered NFA firearm after an SGW AR he was using double-tapped in front of officers at a range.
