I can't believe they could sell even one box of this. $2 a round...for Green Tip!!!! It's almost cheaper to shoot .50 BMG!

I'm completely in 50% agreement with all you guys. None of us should be buying from them. We should have filled our needs when it was on sale. But the price itself is not all bad. Suppose your house burns to the ground? Now you have no ammo. Would you rather be able to fill one mag at a high price, or fight with a stick?

If they were selling at a fair price they would be out of stock like everyone else. It's always good for someone to have stock even if they are assholes you or I would never buy from.

Yeah, ammo is scarce and priced high, but $2 a round? You can buy all the 5.56 you want for .90 a round if you're willing to pay that. Who pays $2 a round when you can get gouged for .90 from everyone else?

Always love a good CTD thread. Gives me a good laugh.

A couple of weeks ago they had a CZ scorpion pistol for sale for over 3k.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Doc

They’re in Fort Worth. I kind of enjoy the thought that their warehousing costs are as high as their ammunition prices. Let them continue to pay to store their overpriced goods...

Just picked a box of 500 rounds 9mm for $150 at Cabelas. The 17 cents a round times probably are gone for good, but if you are lucky you can still find some decent prices.
Last week they had 556 at around 35 cents. Today they had at around 50 cents, which is a bit too much I think. But food prices are up too, so probably this will be the new normal...

What’s crazy is, the cheapest ammo I’ve ever bought was from them, a couple years ago I caught a sell on some IMI 338 lapua for 34.99 a box and 6.5 creedmore Norma match for 10.99 a box, I bought all they had of both. My my how things have changed.

Sometimes capitalism doesn't turnout in your favor.......:) If they can find the fools out there willing to pay what they are asking good for them! This is what the free market is all about love it or hate it!

Now I am going to sell some ammo to some of my dumbass friends who never stocked up and I am going to show them CTD's prices so I/they won't feel so bad when I fuck them on the prices I am going to charge them. Thanks to CTD my friends will at least feel like I used some lube when I bend them over for being stupid.

I haven't ordered from CTD in probably 20 years or so. Can't even remember. I know a lot of people hate Opticsplanet too, but I'll say they just shipped my order from June this morning. I am super happy since it is 500rds of Winchester 9mm that I only paid 150$ for. Worth the wait.

Exactly that's why when this is over I will still buy from Cheap than Dirt or whoever has what I need in stock for the lowest price. You fight high prices on ammo by being stocked up not by waiting until the last minute to prepare and then when it's too late blaming retailers for your own fk'n screw up when said retailers are operating under the laws of supply and demand in a Capitalist (not Socialist) free market society and doing nothing wrong.

Just like Dicks. I swore them off after their reaction to Sandy Hook too. But the assholes always have customers. It is really freakin amazing to me. And to be candid, infuriating. Just the other day I saw some guy on this forum bragging about the deal he got on a gun at Dicks.......🤯

We are paying around .75 a round for PMC 62gr green tip 1000 rd. boxes in Eagle Lake TX. Johnny's Sport Shop. I do not know if they ship, but they owner has 100's of thousands or rounds on pallets in his shop. I am not affiliated, and if this is not allowed sorry.

Wonder if they are buying out Academy's stock at 9.99/20 and then marking it up 400%

I'm going to open a store called "Cheaper than cheaper than dirt".

Our slogan will be "Don't get Botached"

We won't have any inventory like Optics Planet, we'll maybe order it for you after you place your order.

Combine all the best business models under one roof.
Based on my perusal of the “is optics planet a scam” thread, I’m pretty sure @TheGerman is already working this angle...
