Latest bipartisan knife in the back of 2A

"It's an emergency here in Virginia, and it's time to take action," Northam said. "Every one of these pieces of legislation will save lives."

Somebody needs to stand up to the crock of shit argument that keeps getting repeated and show people how rather clearly multitudes many more lives could be saved in other risk areas besides firearms if they would just enforce the laws or create legislation to regulate them.

Let’s us start with the cost, impact, dereliction, and malpractice of big pharma or mediacal malpractice and go on from there. Or how about tracking down the environmental triggers and causes the increased rates of cancer that is kept under the rug. You know if you’re really about saving some damn lives.

There is a website, crimereports.com, that the Houston Police webpage directs you to when looking for crime stats.

I looked at it yesterday, comparing homicide during the last six months in a three mile radius of two addresses where I do and have lived. My current, in Brian Babbin's district, has had one intoxication manslaughter. The other, in Al Green's district, has had 24 murders.

The threat is not the gun.

It is time for someone to compile stats by congressional district and ask all of the gun banners, WTF? Their constitiuents are consistently the wanton killers. This is not doing good things for our representative republic.

Everyone on this board knows what "gun control" actually means and that is population control. The 2A was not about gun rights, it was about being able to prevent the government from turning people into subjects. Sadly this is lost on the cattle in this country. "Those that surrender freedoms for security deserve neither". It does not get any simpler than that.

@whiskeytower - isn't it odd that people that are so adamant about aborting a fetus are equally as adamant about gun control? That indicates that they are mentally ill.

If more people understood what 2A actually means, we would be better off. I listen to several representatives of the pro gun lobby in RI always talking about how 2A guarantees our right to own this or that. I just SMH.

If our side doesn't constantly divorce the ownership aspect from the true meaning of 2A which is the government cannot interfere with me being able to protect my self through being armed, then we are truly fucked
