Both motors are very similar spec and cost. I think the Lincoln is older but advertised as new likely old stock. Anyway any input would be great!

I went from 3 phase set ups in my lathes to single phase 240v. I was advised by the electric motor shop guy that this was best as stopping and starting a 3 phase with a converter as you would during lathe operations to take measurements and so forth, might cause issues.
I went with LEESON industrial farm motors. These are for chicken houses where a fan would be used and chickens might shit in the motors. I went with 1.5 horse and a 2 horse for my bigger lathe. They both have an overload reset button and are pretty much sealed up and have an internal cooling fan. Since my motor is directly under the spindle in the lower cabinet, this was a good choice as some oil does drip down there.
These motors are built heavy duty and are a tad cheaper than a std motor. I looked @ the amp load rates and it is about 9 for each under full load.
Let me know if you need a part #. I think mine are a 152B or 162B mount pattern if I remember correctly.
