Guys I just got word that there are still slots available for the Larry Vickers 1911 Operators Course Dec 7th, 2011 in Phoenix, AZ. I've attended Larry's courses before and it's always a great training opportunity. With 2011 being the 100th annevirsary of the 1911 there's an added cool factor for the class. Here's a brief overview of the class I pulled from the host companies website if anyone is interested.
By special arrangement we will be host Larry Vickers for a one day 1911 Operators Course This will be a special version of his standard class and is one of only a very few that he teaches now. It will included range drills using a 1911 pistol; drills are specifically designed and tailored to highlight key features of using a 1911 pistol. It will also cover the mechanics of the 1911. It begins with detail disassembly and assembly along with an operator level troubleshooting class to allow the end user to recognize problems that may develop – He will generally do some on the spot gunsmithing on students guns that is included – the day wraps up with some range fire to highlight test fire procedures. This class has been very positively received. Limited enrollment of 16 students.
Students must have fundamental handgun training at a minimum. This is not an introductory pistol course.
