I just mounted a LEAP scope mount with an old Leupold Mark 4 on my LMT LM8MRPSC. I just installed a 20” SS barrel also. This is my first LEAP scope mount I have purchased and the engineering and design are stunning. This is the most elegant firearms related product I have handled in my 57 years of shooting.

Question for other owners. The instructions state maximum 25 inch-lbs for the scope ring screws. Do you take it to the maximum or is lower inch-pounds sufficient? I currently have mine set at 20 inch-pounds.

Should be fine. Wouldn't hurt to put witness marks on the fasteners.

I just use a warne t15 torque wrench on all of mine. Then witness marks

When you shoot it, check after. You may need to snug it up.

Thanks.

I was going to go to the range today, but cancelled due to rain. I just called Scalarworks tech support and they recommended 25 inch-pounds with my Leupold scope. They have seen scope movement during recoil at 15 inch-pounds with Leupold scopes.
