Lee hand loader

I've not used one for handgun ammo but did for 30-30 years ago. They work as advertised. I checked the Lee Precision web site and see that they only make them for six handgun and nine rifle cartridges. Be aware, you could run into difficulties trying to use range brass. They recommend only new brass or brass that has been fired for a particular weapon. It does not full length resize so you may not be able to reuse your brass very many times before having to step up to full length resizing with a conventional die. They do make a hand press (P/N 90685) that takes standard dies and shell holders. It doesn't have to be mounted to a bench. I see them available online for under $40.00.

The frame will flex too much for larger rifle cartridges. It's better than nothing I guess but not meant for serious reloading.
I think he is asking about the kit that doesn't use a press. Secondly, I've used the hand press to load match grade ammo that I used in competition to shoot a ten shot thousand yard group under seven inches.
