head space how ? iam talking about seating bullets into case mouths via reloading.

when i load ammo with out the bullet feeder every thing works fine, i loaded 1400 rounds flawlessly add the bullet feeder and its fucked up

If you hand feed the bullet with the bullet feeder still in place, does it sheer the bullet?

With the 1400 hand fed bullets, were you using the same brand and lot of bullets?

Have you tried adjusting the power/ expanding die to see if that helps?

I'd call Lee before you send it back...

going to do that tomorrow.

when i load with only one casing on the turret at a time and i get to the seating stage, if i go really slow when i seat the bullet i have not had a problem but when i load at "normal" speed it seems the bullet will simply not align and i am curious to know if the feeding fingers will not let the casing "adjust" or what ever while its in the seating die or why the bullet simply wont straighten out when its up inside the die.

i took the die apart and oiled it to let the seating stem or what ever move up and down slowly and that didnt work, i checked for any possible burrs still seemed fine, i checked to see if the feeding fingers where aligned properly by seating an already loaded round and it was lined up just fine.

all the videos on youtube i notice most of the guys useing lead bullets.. and they are just loading like pros with no problems what so ever.

I will tell you one thing, if this thing would work flawlessly it would be worth its weight in gold, i would be loading like a rock star

Re: lee pro 1000 bullet feeder pissing me off

well I called lee and i did what the guy said, think i got it now but i ran out of brass.

the problem was the die was crimping before it was seating so i had to back the die body up and move the seater down, problem now is that i am not getting the crimp i used to.

When i get more brass i will adjust the crimp a little more and fidget but it seems to be working smoothly now
