Re: lee pro 1000 bullet feeder pissing me off
[/b]If you hand feed the bullet with the bullet feeder still in place, does it sheer the bullet?
i never tried to do that
With the 1400 hand fed bullets, were you using the same brand and lot of bullets?
Yes
Have you tried adjusting the power/ expanding die to see if that helps?
Yes i did and it really didnt seem to help much
I'd call Lee before you send it back..
going to do that tomorrow.
when i load with only one casing on the turret at a time and i get to the seating stage, if i go really slow when i seat the bullet i have not had a problem but when i load at "normal" speed it seems the bullet will simply not align and i am curious to know if the feeding fingers will not let the casing "adjust" or what ever while its in the seating die or why the bullet simply wont straighten out when its up inside the die.
i took the die apart and oiled it to let the seating stem or what ever move up and down slowly and that didnt work, i checked for any possible burrs still seemed fine, i checked to see if the feeding fingers where aligned properly by seating an already loaded round and it was lined up just fine.
all the videos on youtube i notice most of the guys useing lead bullets.. and they are just loading like pros with no problems what so ever.
I will tell you one thing, if this thing would work flawlessly it would be worth its weight in gold, i would be loading like a rock star
