Several legal immigrants are taking advantage of the F-1, OPT/STEM OPT, H1B, H4 EAD, and other visa types. The number of actual talented people who contribute for the betterment of this country is in hundreds while the actual number of people living here on these visas is in hundreds of thousands.

Consultancies hire students and pack 20 people into a house. They create a fake profile, market it, conduct proxy interviews, and take 30% of the paycheck once they are hired. There's the whole H1B lottery BS which should be completely canceled or changed to merit base, at the very least.

F-1 student visas should face technical interviews based on the field of study, during their visa interviews. STEPM OPT extensions should be canceled and OPT should be limited to the initial year. Only the real smart/contributing ones should be allowed an oppoirtunity for permanent residency and citizenship.

H4 EAD is for the spouses of people on H1B with their i-140 approved. This has no restrictions and they can work in non-IT jobs that are for Americans and even in state governments depending on where they are. Trump admin tried to cancel it during their first term but the dumb fuck libtard federal judges didn't allow it. Hope it gets revoked, this time. These fuckers make $300K+ per year while a hard working average American is struggling to pay their bills. Again, people with amazing talent should be given the opportunity and it doesn't matter how much they earn. But, I have seen people who pay ($800 per month) for offshore support to do their jobs while they make 6 figures here. Fuck them!

Sorry for the long rant, but I was reading about this whole BS and all the H1B scams. Steven Miller has talked about these issues in the past and even Vivek Ramaswamy did. I am hoping that they will make some major changes to the legal immigration system as well. This will help the true American loving immigrants have a fair shot at the dream.

You mean the immigration system is a convoluted bureaucracy with all kinds of back doors and side scams designed to fuck the common people while playing favorites to certain classes and industries with flashy offices on K Street?

I’m shocked.

You're right. We know that it exists but digging deep into stuff can get a man riled up, at least temporarily.

I pay a whole lot of taxes and vote die hard conservative to not dwell on shit I have no other means of affecting.

Otherwise, I’m mildly satisfied to work in a job that legal and illegal immigration has little to no impact upon, and hopeful the new admin coming in will be able to shave at least a little of the bullshit out of Swamp Washington.

We desperately need a complete immigration overhaul but I don't expect we are going to get it because the rich from both parties need immigrants to keep regular Americans behind the eight ball. However, Trump might be enough of an outsider to actually try this but if he does, expect the swamp on both sides push back hard.

Most people don't understand what the legal process involves, and just how hard it is. When my mother came over, she had to have a sponsor who agreed to pay all of her expenses – from medical, to housing, to food etc.if she could not support herself. No government handouts. She allowed herself to be harassed because she was afraid her boss would fire her or her report her negatively to the naturalization boards. She took civics courses, never spoke her native tongue so that her English improved, and took an oath to the Constitution that she took very seriously. The whole process took seven years.

Slight resurrection. But this topic irks me as everyone seems to think we need more people for the fuck of it.

I want basically zero immigration. We should take legit super geniuses only. Everyone else needs to fuck off and stay where they are.
I agree with you. Although I do feel guilty for having this stance because I myself am a first generation immigrant who came here for college, fell in love with a small town conservative woman, and her family.

I want to serve in the military so that way I can at least feel like I’ve done something for this country but most of the SH members in my thread about joining the army told me not to do it. I’m not completely over the idea but my wife is a stay at home mom with a toddler, so I can’t abandon them. I need to think of other ways to serve this country to repay for everything it has given me.

I can tell by the way you authored this that you probably repay, daily.
You keep being you and raise your family soundly, that's exactly what America needs.
