So yesterday I took my five year old Leica 1200 CRF to try out some stuff from Precision Rifle Solutions as part of a review and took these shots.

The top picture is a speed limit sign and the second is obviously a brick house, which represent the far end of what I was able to range. I also ranged a cow at 763 yards, some trees at 991 yards, and another hedge row at 1145. While I would love to upgrade to a 1600 some day, I'm still very happy with the performance of my old beat up Leica, even if the warranty is kaput lol.

I lost my CRF somewhere between Reade Range, my House and ASC the next weekend, a couple years ago. Burns my ass, since it ranged everything within the range that my rifle would shoot. If you do decide to upgrade, PM me

I have the same rangefinder that I got used off of here last year and it is a lot better than what I am used to but... I'm wondering what you might be testing for Danel?

    Re: Leica 1200 CRF

Hey Bill! Yeah there are some days when the range is reduced because of the conditions but it's been a pretty consistent rangefinder. I've done the same thing though and still take mine out from time to time to range different objects because a man's got to know his limitations. I love the Leica rangefinders because for something the size of a AI 10 rounder I can just about range anything within the effective range of my rifle.

redirt - I'm not testing anything top secret...yet, just doing a review to highlight PRS products and accessories including the LRF/Optic mount and saddle. PRS has some new quick release plates that blow the standard SLIK plates out of the water though, awesome stuff.

    Re: Leica 1200 CRF

I agree on the PRS quick release plates blowing the "Slik"s out of the water. I need to order a few more. I bought the LRF/Optic mount as well. It's extremely well made. I find I use it more for mounting my Iphone than I do anything else. The SSP-2 works perfect as a mount for the Leica CRF series, I have a 1600, but its the same size as the 1200. I found I could even use the SSP-2 mount to stabilize my binoculars. PRS products are top notch and Danel is great to do business with.
