Just won a Leica CRF 1600 for a good price but after looking closer at the photos of it I noticed it does not have a B or R model designation. Does the standard CRF 1600 have the option of an angle compensated distance? I’ve had a hard time finding the answer online.

Didn’t you get a manual with it? If not you can probably get one on-line. That model was the one just before the 1600B.

If memory serves me right, it first came out about 5 years ago.

Just looked up the manual for the Leica 1600 model and it does not appear to have the equivalent horizontal range feature (Ehr) you are inquiring about. It does give you the inclination angle, temperature, and atmospheric pressure.

However, you can compute the Ehr by multiplying the range output by the rangefinder times the cosine value of the inclination angle.

I think the Ehr feature was first introduced on the 1600-B model.

Thank you much, I haven’t received it yet but it’s supposed to have everything with it. Should’ve made the inquiry before I bought it. Got a good deal but was wanting the Ehr feature even though it’s not difficult to.

You may want to call Leica to double check but I'm fairly positive that is the equivalent of a 1600 B. Has 12 ballistic curves, temp, pressure, auto illum reticle, and angle compensating from 100-880 yards. I repeat... No angle compensating or EHR mode fo anything under 100 yards.

Call Leica to verify.
