Leica Geovid Pro 42 vs AB+

So I see Leica has units with full AB on board in the wild. I can't find much info on them, so I've got a couple of questions.
1. Is there any difference between the them other than full AB on board from the factory?
2. Sounds like you can upgrade/unlock full AB on regular Pros for a fee. How has the connectivity/easy of use been if going this route?
3. Any comments on how quickly (or not) dope gets displayed? My consideration is saving time for NRL Hunter.

Dope displays after the yardage. It's about a 2 second delay. It's not a deal breaker for NRL Hunter but that 2 seconds feels like an eternity.

I'm wondering the same thing. I've searched YouTube high and low and can't find any reviews.

Yeah, it does. The Fury 5000 ABs do this too and it annoys the hell out of me

but if you're dropping $3500 on these for NRL hunter, just pair them with a Foretrex 901

The EL Range TAs are fast. Less than a second. Distance and MIL drop on the same screen (lines 1 and 2, respectively)

Bumping this back up.
I’ve got the cash now. Trying to decide between the Leica Pro AB + or the Swaro TA’s. I’m mostly a hunter so not worried about shooting steel. I just sold my Sig Kilo Gen 2’s. They were amazing as far as the rangefinder….but I still felt the over all build was cheap. The eye cups started having issues. Not as bad as the first gen, the rubber coating was kind of “floating” off the binos like an air gap between the rubber and the metal. The glass was great, but still a difference between them and the Leica and Swaros.

Probably a million other threads on this still.

I looked thru a pair of Leica Pros the other day and was blown away by how good they were. Didn’t use any ballistic function, but for sheer glass and laser performance, I was thoroughly impressed.

I sure like my Leica geovid pros. The glass is great, I couldn’t tell much of a difference if any with the swaro el ranges. The swaro’s I used were a few years old but my Leicas returned the dope faster. I swear my leicas give the dope faster then 2 seconds after the range. My main complaint is you better double and tripe check you are getting the right dope from the app when changing between rifle profiles. I missed a 180 class buck this year because I did not ensure my binos had blue toothed to the phone between switching rifle profiles on the app. The binos are supposed to connect automatically when the app is open and you hit the laze button, but not double checking cost me a mature buck.
