I just bought my first pair of Tier One Optics - the Leica Geovid HD-B from Doug. I shoot Hornady 143 ELDX in my 6.5-06 because they group, give me acceptable velocity (2814) in my 22.25 barrel and seem like they will be a great all purpose hunting bullet. I am attracted to using the actual doppler data now available from Hornady as opposed to mathematical calculations from tools like Applied Ballistics and was pondering how to brut force the data into the custom calculator in the Leica. I figured I would just keep tweaking the BC on the Leica on-line tool until it matched the actual hornady data and then download it to the memory card.
Has anyone done this or is it a foolish endeavor and I should just use the Geovid Data.
