according to the manual the A.R.M.S. 22 mount/rings are a good way.

any disadvantages of doing this?

any other prefered mounting systems i should know about if i decide to purchase this rifle?

i will start out with a super sniper 10x scope. then move towards a better scope probably in a year or so.

My 2 cents:

I use a GG&G QD mount and love it... I run a USO 1.8-10x37 with rings in the 1.06 range ( I prefer a tight check weld and don't care for 1.5 or higher set ups).

i go to a 1350 yard range at least once a year

yeah I did the same with some st10's but make sure the 1.06 is high enough for your setup.

+1000 for GG&G (there CS is top notch too!)

i use the GG&G AC-34 QD to mount my scope to my AR-10(TBNF)the scope i use has more than enough elevation in it to get me as far as i could want to push a 175smk...

if you need a once piece mount with a MOA cant built into it maybe look at the Nightforce mounts,. i think they are 30mm

the ARMS will work nicely too,. it was just a touch low for my taste though.
