In. I don’t have anything to show though, except maybe trolling with my photo from the reloading room thread…

I've got some cool stuff ... AMP, Digital Concentricity Gauge, Chargemaster, QuickLoad software, and oodles of high-tech tools from 21st Century and Short Action Customs ... but the coolest thing I've come across recently is this Case Gauge Depth Micrometer from L.E. Wilson. It lets me calculate and achieve shoulder bumps measures right down to the half-thousandths, and it's flawlessly repeatable every time, unlike the usual comparators you use with standard micrometers. Proof positive that you can be both "Mechanical" ... and "High Tech".

I don't know if a 1990's second-hand Dillon RL550b falls into this category; but at the time I purchased it, that was referred to by some as the Cadillac of presses. It has served me well enough since the early 1990's, including a couple of years as a team press.

I have seen numerous aftermarket improvements made available, and while I agree the powder measures are somewhat anachronistic, I don't share that view about changes to the other operating systems inherent in the original design. I will agree readily that I haven't tried some of them, but a mechanic's eye would appear to tell me they sometimes solve nonexistent problems. I will not delve further, because I don't have the budget needed to obtain some of them ad perform definitive testing.

I'll simply say that the press, as purchased secondhand, and not including the original powder measure, have served my modest needs just fine.

You don't have a wife? Err... an angry one at that! :)
My wife is sort of ocd so she tries not to knock shit over and make a mess. Our cats are, however, are definitely not ocd about anything. They may actually be ocd about getting their 27 hours of sleep a day

Let's see some high-end reloading equipment. Show me something I don't have that I might need.
The Girard Case Trimmer and the Girard Case Annealer are both pretty sharp and do a great job at their tasks. Just google them and watch the vids.

Both made my reloading much better and more consistent.
