Trying to get ideas for how to outfit my belt. I really don't want to be digging into my pack after every stage for things like mags or my kestrel but I haven't figured out a good way to set everything up yet.

I’ll get a picture of mine tonight. The way it’s set up right now is:
    Hsgi inner and outer belt
9 o’clock is pistol taco that can hold kestrel
    7-8 o’clock is 2 Armageddon rifle pouches
6 o’clock is a hsgi dump pouch that can hold brass, pens, paper, fired brass from a stage.

This is my belt set up. Three rifle mag pouches on right and one on left front which gets changed to pistol mags if the match requires. Left side pouch carries data cards and other reference material, pens and pad and anything else I might need on me. Rear is a small allen kit and screwdriver and again whatever I want to put there. I can usually run a few stages if needed without going back to pack. Been running this set up since around 2010 I believe.

    Thanks for th info

Thanks for the info Rob01. Do you have a med-kit on you or in you pack? I'm a fire fighter as well and I've always felt it important to keep one close but not sure I need it on my person when we're normally 10 feet from out packs.

That belt setup makes a lot of sense. That said, I like having my magazines fully loaded all the time so I’m sure I’d still be visiting my backpack after every stage.

Finally settled on this setup with maybe a few tweaks in the future. Left to right:
    -Triad Tactical Kestrel Pouch
    -TAB Gear Single Mag Pouch
    -Triad Tactical Double Mag Pouch
    -HSGI Blowout Pouch
    -HSGI Pogey Pouch.

May swap the HSGI Blowout Pouch for Dark Angel Med D.A.R.K in the future, other than that I think I’m set.

My belt is more setup for team/RTC field matches but I have an HSGI battle belt with suspenders. On the left hand side from front to rear I have a Sord kestrel pouch followed by 2x Sunrise tactical AICS mag pouches. On the mag pouch closest to the front I have a BFG double pistol mag pouch that sits totally flat when not in use. On the right hand side I have a G-Code battle belt adapter for RTI for my holster when we need pistols and behind it have a Sord LRF pouch. Been meaning to throw a dump pouch in the back since I've noticed that when I'm wearing rain gear, I don't have an easy place to dump my brass after the stage.

Like the look of this Sunrise pouches...

Is there a good Kydek and TekLok solution for AICS magazines?

Or do I get eliminated for not using a battle belt?

Can't say since I've ever used Kydex mag pouches or the TekLok system. I believe Bison Tactical sells TekLok Kydex mag pouches for the AICS mags.

After playing with my previously posted belt system. I'm making some more changes. The Triad mag pouch is a bit slow. Plus I wanted something set up for team/field matches. I put the HSGI pogey pouch inside my pack. Added a pistol holster to the right side in it's place. Moved the bleeder pouch to the pack as well. Going to replace it with HSGI pistol pouches.

I am currently setting up my belt kit (pictures to come), it includes: HSGI belt and padded slim grip liner, 2 HSGI double tacos on my left side and a HSGI mini EOD pouch on my right. The EOD pouch will have borka tool kit, LRF, kestrel, DOPE, etc. Didn’t set out to be all HSGI, just turned out that way

I run a grey ghost gear inner and outer battle belt, good and stiff outer so that it won't roll with weight on it (other good options are the Volund, Ronin Senshi) pistol pouches can also double as kestrel, multi tool, etc pouch. AR pouches carry AR15 mags, AR10 mags, AICS mags depending on what I'm running. Dump pouch on back and crye gp pouch to carry randoms I may need. Lightbearing TG kydex holster for g17/tlr, d ring for gloves or whatever. Easy on, easy off so I don't have to have shit on my person when just hanging out and can quickly throw it on and shoot a stage or whatever. Inner belt is padded with soft side velcro, goes through the belt loops on your pants, outer belt has hook side of velcro on it and attaches securely and the cobra buckle cinches tight. I've never had a problem with it coming loose or pulling pants low even fully loaded down and running/climbing/jumping around on stages or for work.
If I don't want to run the full setup, don't need a pistol etc, I just run a kydex AI mag pouch and kestrel pouch on a Mean Gene leather belt.

Yep, I now have Long's Shadow Holsters for AICS, AW, Desert Tech & Sako:

They come with PLM which is like a push button TekLok.
