I have a couple of side focus 30mm tube Leupy scopes on .22's, a MK4 4.5x14x40mm and a 6.5x20x50mm LR.
I just sent them both in for TMR reticules, and while I was on the phone with the tech, I asked about readjusting the parallax/scope focus to a closer distance for 22 use, as the 6.5x20 would only focus to 40-45 yards and the 4.5X14 to 35 yards (both on highest power) and he said no problem, but it would cost $14.95!
Needless to say, I said do it!
As usual, with Leupies excellent CS, I sent them in and got them back, refocused and with new TMR's in 6 days.
Got them back, and they would both focus down to about 10 yards on high power!
I love the 4.5x14 as it has a good focus (on 14x) from 10 yards to about 400 yards, past that it is just very slightly out of focus.
The 6.5x20 didn't work out though, as it was good from 10 yards to about 100 yards on 20 power, and I need it to go to at least 400 yards. It was fine if I turned it down to 12-14x.
I called Luepy and asked about the focus, and they said the higher power scope would only adjust to those parameters.
So I sent it back, with a check for $14.95, to be returned to stock.
Got it back (in 6 days again) with a No Charge bill enclosed!
Anyway, I didn't know they offered this service, and maybe someone else may benefit from the info.
