Couldn't find any info on the leupold site or searching around here. Anyone know if Leupold can or will replace M1 turrets with M2 dials on say a 4.5-14x50 Mk4 scope? .....and on a side note, do these mil at full power or 10x?
Yes Leupold can do it. No new knobs dont change your focal plane, you will still have to mil on full power, unless its a FFP scope? I dont know if they make a FFP other than the 8-25 power. Why do you want M2's if you already have M1's? You'll be going from .25MOA to .5MOA adjustments.
About a week ago I had a ret change in a VX III 4.5-14 LR and I ask about adding a 1/2"" elev knob (M2) and was told by Leupold that if it is a 1/4" moa knob it stays that way. I have had several target knobs converted to M 1s though.
To add (slightly) to what Jon Lester just said ... Leupy scopes with the M2 knobs can be converted to M3, and the reverse of that is true ... scopes 'born' with the M1's, are relegated to M1's ...
you can, however, have most of the 1" tubed hunting scopes from Leupy be retrofit with M1 knobs, but not M1/M3 ...
