Looking for user's experiences with this leupold scope.

I am planning to buy the model with the m2 knobs, is there a BDC knob for 77gr mk262 ammo?

I am also planning to get the TMR reticle but I read a lot about how it is most desirable to get a scope in mils/ mils or moa/ moa, is this as big of a deal as some make it out to be? I'm guessing the one of the disadvantage's of mil reticle and moa adjustments is that I couldn't use the hash marks in the reticle for holdover's as easily?

I am tossing around the idea of a scope for a long range ar build and want either this leupold or waiting until the vortex viper pst 2.5-10x model comes out. I would be willing to wait and decide on a scope later as I haven't even started building the rifle yet, but I found this leupold locally for $900.

You can contact Leupold shop to order your turrets in the grain or caliber you need. They will ask you what the muzzle velocity is so they can make the bullet drop turret.

Holdovers have nothing to do with what type of adjustments you have. Unless all of your dope is in MOA, you might not have readily available MIL holdovers. Solution: Add an extra column to your data book and record MIL holdovers. The advantage to matched reticle and adjustments is all of your data is in the same format. Your scope corrections are the same as your holdovers (keeping in mind that you are on the correct power setting or running FFP).
