Does anyone have any experience with these rings? I have my deer gun set up with them and the plates that attach the rings to the rail cracked. Leupold sent me a new pair of plates however these ones are showing signs of failure as well. These rings were torqued to manufacturers spec using a precision instruments torque wrench. My set up is as follows, Rem 700sps tac .308, Weaver picatinny one piece aluminium rail, Leupold PRW 1 inch low rings. Iam thinking of swapping out the picatinny rail to an offering from another manufacturer, maybe this one is a different spec. Thanks in advance for opinions & advise as I am still relatively new to the tactical set ups.

I have seen that before as well..

Take them off, and buy yourself a set of Mark 4, NF, Seekins, Badger .

Any of these are good choices, and can be found pre-owned on the forum
here for a good savings.

Re: Leupold PRW scope rings

I put a set of these on my sons Savage Mark II BV .22 to hold a new 30mm tubed Vortex and all is good. I'm not expecting much from them considering the price, you get what you pay for typically.

After reading the first post I did double check and they are "supposed" to fit and work with both Weaver spec and Pacitinney mil-spec 1913 rails. So far no problems on our end but then again his rifle doesn't see rough handling or abuse.
