I have a new Leupold RX-2800 TBR Rangefinder . Bought it a few months back. Only just got chance to really practice with it.
Seems to Range OK fast as lightning. Very sensitive. I can range a duck in an open field 200 yards away and only got to blink and it will range 10yards +/-
Question is, If I range beyond its capabilities I.E 5 or 6 miles away at the mountain range on a clear day with no obstructions , it will range 1000 - 2600 and change every time. I know it cant be correct but it still ranges. Same happens if I point it straight up to the sky. Does anyone else get this ?
