Leupold vx3hd quality

Found a vxhd3 8- 25 locally. Price not bad. It would go in a tac ops 308

Rifle is mostly a range queen. No competitions or at least nothing serious. I prefer 2nd focal plane for my use.

Anyone used one? Feedback?
Glass quality for the money?
Rugged?
Are the click adjustments accurate and repeatable?

They work.

I have one on my kids gun. Hard to beat the 4.5-14x40 for a hunting rifle.

A scope with turrets meant to spin would be a better choice for a non hunting application.

If you are talking the one with the .1 mil click turrets and mildot reticle it would be good on a 223 AR varmint rifle. I don't think they have a lot of adjustment though so you won't be dialing to 1000 yards.

Very limited adjustment range. I think you'll be frustrated.
If I were on a budget and looking at glass for the range, and wanted SFP, I'd look at the Athlon Midas BTR Gen 2. They are surprisingly nice scopes, check with @gr8fuldoug
