Lilja Barrel or stay with factory CZ 455 VPT

Have the opportunity to get a 21” Lilja .22 lr tapered barrel for a good price.

Should I do it? I have heard good and bad things about them...maybe it’s hit and miss?

If you can get for a good price, you may want to get, but give the factory a chance. My 455 Varmint shoot great.

A buddy of mine bought a lilja. His OEM barrel shoots better. He's been thru 3 lilja barrels, but his OEM out shot them all and ended up sending the lilja's back.

Yeah mine shoots well just wondering if it would get better with Lilja and I am thinking I am just going to stick with what I have.

It likes Wolf Match Target maybe I should try some Lapua Center X I could buy several bricks for what it costs to but the Lilja.

Hey man. I’ve seen your posts with your factory barrel at longer ranges too and I’m not sure it would help much going to the Lilja. You know I had both versions and I think you got a winner of a factory barrel. You also know I don’t mind trying to spend to find that extra bit and still suggest holding off. Granted, all our experiences have been different with each barrel type, but your barrel with the fitment it has to your receiver performs well.

It doesn’t last as long as you think when you start getting out there more. Since I started playing some fun paper target games with some of the guys each month, my ao budget has gone through the roof. That being said, I’ve never had more fun shooting than I am having now. I just wish my rifle liked CCI, like all my previous ones did. I have a ton and it doesn’t really like it.

I got a few boxes for the CenterX when I got a batch of some of the SK favors. It shot the best of all them at 50yds, and I didn’t even get to take it out further (which is where I hear it really shines). It was just slightly more consistent (could just be the batches of ammo I was comparing too). If I had money on the line, I would use CX. Rifle Match has been good enough for our friendly competitions with SK STD+ being equal to CCI SV.

Mine absolutely hammers with better ammo and even the cci sv. I think most people complaining about Lijia barrels are shooting plinking ammo thru it

Got out today and this was a 12 round group at 32 yards ? glad I am keeping the factory barrel.
