Hey Guys,

I am planning a compact (20"barrel, Remington Varmint contour) 6.5 Creedmoor build. I have a stock ordered (Manners T2 Folder w Badger bottom metal) and I bought a Stainless Remington short action. But now I am looking at these two barrel manufacturers that my builder prefers: Schneider and Lilja . Seems to me like they are both nice. Is anyone aware of the differences between the two? and would any favor one over the other, by a whole lot?

Thanks for your input.

Bartlein or Rock Creek

Copper Creek actually has 2 27" Remington Varmint blanks for sale, here the link. Bartlein > then Schneider or Lilja IMHO

If Ihad to pick between just your two listed, I'd go Lilja.

My two Lilja barrells shoot bugholes, probably the same size bugholes as my Kreiger and Bartlein haha!
I wouldnt hesitate to buy another Lilja even though my sample size of 2 barrells is small

Just as others have said..take your pick. But for the record I have a Scheider that is dead nuts accurate and faster than comparable barrels with the same load

Re: Lilja or Schneider Barrel for 6.5 Creedmoor build?

Based on personal experience, I would not purchase another Lilja barrel. They make a decent barrel but will not stand behind their product. To many good barrel makers out there that will. Save yourself some grief and get the Schneider.

Regards,
Paul

I have had alot of good luck with Schneider barrels. Quick turn around time also. The longest I have waited for a Schneider is around 5 weeks.
