Thinking about getting the 17 HM2 for one of my Sako Finnfire Range rifles. Wonder what people's experience is with them.

I love the round. Out to about 125 yards it hangs with my 17hmr.
Just ordered a ruger “predator” in 17hm2 from Whittaker’s just because I couldn’t resist.
I think with anuschutz getting back into the game and vudoo there might be a chance of some better ammo coming out.
Ammo accuracy is the same as my 17hmr but it’s half the cost. I picked up my last 500 rounds for ~60.00 shipped. Typically I am under 1/2” at 50 yards and doing well at 75 yards but towards 100 I start to see 1-2 flyers per 5 shots which open my 100 yards groups to 1-1.5” still minute of squirrel for me
For me it’s a squirrel/rabbit/raccoon round.
I would say buy one just because it’s fun to mess around with a new round

Don't know about rechambered to 17 HMR but thinking about it, it shouldn't be difficult for a gunsmith to do. However, it will turn your Sako Finnfire into a single shot.
Frankr, your last sentence pretty much summed it up. It's a perfect opportunity to have a 17 HM2 and have an excellent chance to have an excellent shooting one at that. I bought the .900" X 23" and that would be perfect for the Finnfire Range stock. The lady I spoke with, "believe her name was Melanie" said they have discontinued that barrel and have 4 left, so if anyone is thinking about getting one now is the time. I'm glad I bought mine, hope it shoots as good as the Finnfire Range in 22 LR.
This is the older one I have and will remain in 22 LR as it appears to have the accuracy edge.
This one will get the new barrel. BTW, the color rendentions in both photos are accurate.

Didn't shoot anything yesterday and probably won't today. Been in the upper 90's here the past 4 days with high humidity. Can't wait to sell this place and get to Abingdon VA where it is normally at least 7-10 degrees cooler.
The Lijia barrel should get here Monday.
To start with I got 150 rounds of CCI 17 Mach 2 Hornady V-Max and 150 rounds of Hornady Mach 2 V-Max. Probably the same ammo just packaged different. I should have got a few boxes of the 15.5 grain Hornady.

I need pictures, rifle pron is a good thing.
Chrony numbers would be nice too.
I have no idea of how well CCI is making the cartridges.
Be nice to see the numbers and results from a full box of 50.
