In my opinion, I don’t trust the man. But he has begun to take China to task, and he and the senate have appointed and installled a phenomenal amount of judges in a short amount of time; which are no small tasks. China is a huge threat to liberty and property and the judges are going a long way toward stopping progressive courts from getting more progressive and unraveling the fibers our republic is made from.
I think at best, the economy is only ever nudged by a president. They do probably have the ability to completely tank it, but I think talk of presidents building the economy is largely a politician taking credit for the work of millions of hardworking Americans trying to improve their lives and the resilient but unpredictably cyclical nature of capitalist markets. The best a president can do is get out of the way, he has sort of done that but he makes a lot of threats to be more directly involved. I’m young and I like the volatile markets as a chance for my money to grow. GDPwas growing, employment was growing, the virus and associated media hit campaign was allowed to sucker punch the economy into an early downturn but the election cycle and financial fears that follow would have done it anyway. It always comes back after elections
I’d be lying if I didn’t also admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed watching his defense department punch. I hate that Americans have had to come under fire because of it, but again, that shit needed to happen, those bastards have been needing some Old Testament pillar of salt treatment for a while now.
in recent months he has been making environmental decisions that are beneficial to hunters and sportsman And also make the green crowd happier, such as halting the permit on the pebble creek mine and permanently funding the land and water conservation fund. while I’m glad he has done those things, I’m pretty sure it was just a wise ploy to take the environment out of discussion in the election and keep the democrats on the back foot. Not a knock, and I’m glad these things got done, I just don’t think it can be stated that he is actually an outdoor advocate.
Don’t get me wrong, I will not vote for Biden, but with that said, I think trump has the lowest comprehension of civics and history of any president ever in office with the possible exception of Andrew Johnson, he has zero knowledge and zero regard for the inner workings of our democratically elected constitutional republic and no use for the constitution until it suits him. He has no regard for reigning in spending or reducing domestic and foreign debt. In these regards he is no less swampy than all of the other presidents we’ve had since Eisenhower. His possibly noble aim of bringing jobs back to the USA has largely failed because it was ill conceived and left too many loop holes for accountants to call something American made when it isn’t. Again, he has convinced companies to leave China, but he didn’t hammer it home and cause them to come home so now production is done in Vietnam and Laos, whoopdy-damn-doo!
We don’t have suppressors removed from the NFA list because it was only ever a talking point to win over the NRA and gun owners. He doesn’t give a shit about 2A issues, you might see it once he doesn’t have to be worried about getting elected but I have doubts. on top of that, he has given his consent to the non-elected ATF bureaucrats to continue issuing opinions as if they were laws with no congressional or judicial review at all, and therefore no chance for the citizen to push back, both on bumpstocks and on their current feelings toward “pistol braces” being shouldered. He could stop these attacks on the plain language of the bill of rights, but he doesn’t care. You may think both of these issues are the territory of DPMS wielding halfwits but the legal precedent will soon be used against 30 rd. Magazines, pistol grips, adjustable stocks, floating hand guards and all manner of other things that the democrats deem scary and unwholesome.
the house and senate still have no term limits, the wall is mostly an expensive failure, globalist funded caravans still push our border resources to the max and drug crime still comes across our southern border like rain through a screen door. the federal government is still mostly run by bureau/department chiefs (swamp)who are politically appointed and don’t answer to the voter. The FBI uses private contractors to spy on citizens reglularly to avoid complications with FISA warrants and circumvent our legal system (swamp) ,our national debt continues to climb and we’re still paying for other people’s healthcare while healthcare costs continue to rise.
Biden sucks, trumps no real winner either, might be a tastier bite of the shit sandwich from your personal viewpoint, I think there is something inherently wrong anyone who would run for president anymore and everybody has to decide who they think is worse. If voting mattered they wouldn’t let us do it.
