Anyone here have a Lithgow Arms model 101 in .22lr?
I’ve heard great reviews on the internet but have yet to shoot one myself or speak to anyone who has. Looking for feedback. It seems very interesting.

I had a chance to look at a 17 HMR at a local Cabela's a few months ago. It had a nice solid feel to it, but a very heavy trigger.

Unfortunately, it was already sold when I found it, or I would've bought it.
I believe the triggers are fully adjustable and set from the factory at 2.5lbs? Was this one used? If so, perhaps the original owner adjusted it heavy for some reason? I’m thinking about ordering one.

Cabela's bought out some smaller chain that had these on the shelf. They were advertised as Factory Blems, but the one I looked at was flawless. It had the stainless barreled action in a laminate stock. I asked the guys in the store to look for another one in either 22 LR or 17 HMR in Cabela's system so I could buy it, but the only other one was a 22 LR in a synthetic stock.

I haven't heard much about their synthetic stocks, so I decided to pass. I did notice that it was listed as sold the next day, so it may not have even been available when I saw it.

FWIW, both rifles were listed at $799

Damn , that’s a great price! The ones I’ve seen have been around $1200.

Yep, that's why I was so disappointed when they didn't call me to let me know they had it. I've got a really good relationship with the guys in my local Cabela's Gun Library. They told me they didn't think I would be interested since it was a 17 HMR and not a 22 LR. We had a long talk after that...

hey mate, I bought the la101 in 22lr when they first came out in Australia for around $950 AUD. really good rifle a bit on the heavy side but in a good way it doesn't feel like a toy, only issue i have had in the few thousand rounds I've put through it was occasionally had a round not eject properly and land back on top of mag, granted it was really dirty by then like 500+ rounds. I use CCI standard, not uncommon to put 5 rounds touching at 50 m i have had to shoot at a range where the minimum distance is 100 m and still group under MOA, few of the local shooters at the range laughed when i took the 22 out to shoot at 100, after the first session when we could go down to check targets a few asked to have a go and said that when they shoot with their centrefile they brought ( mainly hunting guns) struggle to achieve that kind of accuracy. I would buy another one and probably will after i get the new tikka t1x ( cant have too many 22s)
