I bought my daughter a 10/22 and got her a purple thumbhole stock from Boyds. My issue is that it only has the one mounting screw on the 10/22s and the stock doesnt fit as snug as it should. Because it only has one action screw it works as a pivot point and ends up doing a wobble.
I would like to bed the rifle and sand the stock for a better fit.
I have heard of something like (impression ink) you can rub on the action and set in the stock and it will mark the high spots? What is this and where do I get it?
Also does anyone have any tips on helping out the fact there is only one action screw? any way to tap the reciver and add another or ... open for any ideas.
