LMT 6.5 Long Range?

So I have the opportunity to pick up a LMT MARS 6.5 Long Range on the cheap, any if you guys currently have one and could you provide some feedback and possibly some group pics that would be outstanding, I'd like to know how it likes the new Hornady ammo.

I had a MWS back in 2012 and it was a fucking lemon from the word go! And no I don't care to elaborate on all of its problems. I'm hoping it was just a random fluke and from what I'm told LMT has recently moved and has all new personnel, so I'm thinking of giving them another chance.

Normally I would just build my own 6.5s and call it good but at the price it has my attention.

I have the SS 24" barrel on MWS slick upper with Razor Gen 2 4.5-27x. Std MWS lower-non-MARS cause I don't care about ambi. I don't have targets but I comfortably shoot ~1moa. My club has 400yd max range and I'm easily on paper and easily on the 12" steel plate. This is with Hornady 140 ELD match.

It's a heavy sucker though.

I know several people who have them, they're all hammers. I liked them so much that I had one on backorder but cancelled because I decided I don't have a use for a large frame precision gasser. If is 6.5 gasser is what you want though then IMO it's the one to get.

If the price is right, I think it’s worth giving a try. Be sure to try factory Berger 130 ammo in addition to the Hornady.
