Lmt gas tube problem

Hey all! I have owned an lmt cqb mrp for several years now and finally pulled the trigger on getting another barrel. I ordered a 10.5 556 di barrel from primary arms. Much to my surprise the gas tube doesn't fit in my original lmt carrier or my geissele rebcg. I am exchanging it through primary arms since they still show stock but would like to hear feedback from anyone with some insight. I've never built a gun from parts or anything like that but this fitment issue strikes me as odd. Thanks for your input!

Sounds odd but I guess you might have one that escaped QC?
I had a gas tube that I used in a Seekins Precision dmr build that was out of spec slightly. Couldnt tell from the eye but during firing it warped and the carrier key hit it sideways and cut off part of the tube and stopped it from going into battery. Lucky nothing worse happened and I didn't trash the rifle or blow it up.
Glad you didn't shoot it hoping it would fix itself or some shit.
