I have spent the past few days reading as many threads about these three manufactures as I can without getting a head ache. I would like to know the pro's and cons of each. I would like to take it out to around 800 yards. I believe I am leaning towards the larue with the 20 inch barrel. but any input would be greatly

for general good accuracy I'd go Larue or POF. LMT if you want to spend about $500 more tuning it up. I did the numbers myself looking for a decent semi-auto precision rifle and I'm going with larue.

I too have read all these threads on the various models. I don't own any of the above but I guess first I'd ask is money an object? The POF would be the cheapest and feature Rock Creek barrels also a piston if you're into that. All reports seem to say these rifles are accurate.
Of your other two choices, well they're really the same price if you get the stainless barrel for the LMT. The ability to change barrels/calibers for the same price might be something you want to consider.
Also, you should search the threads and ask the guys who have said the OBR is a pain to put a scope on, see what they say.

List the different features each one has vs. the price and ask yourself which one has the stuff you are going to use the most.
I've used an LMT 16" and a POF 16" and liked the LMT more although the POF has a better barrel and is a piston gun.

Nothing against any one of your choices <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic"><span style="text-decoration: underline">they are all great guns</span></span></span> and I just recently went through the same decision process. I would have all three I could afford them and the optics each deserves. After purchaseing the LMT I feel it is as close to the one-gun-solution as a gun can be. I say this because of the quality and the switch barrel and the fact many are achieving sub-moa with the 16" chrome lined barrels. Yes you can get other uppers with different barrel lenghts for the other rifles but at ~$2000.00 per upper your really buying another rifle. By buying a 260 or 243 barrel there really isn't much you cant do with this platform. I really dont think you can make a bad choice with any of them.

I've gotten in some trigger time on a friend's 16" OBR. The rifle balances well and feels like it was carved out of a single chunk of aluminum. We were recently shooting at 300 yards in the rain and he was printing 2.5" 5-shot groups. I was shooting weather reports with my .223 due to the wind.
The adjustable gas system seems like a nice touch if you plan to run a can.
The only downside to the rifle is the slightly high rail, which necessitates a cheek riser for most folks. This in turn prevents running the charging handle unless the stock is fully extended.

20" POF's are 2400 at henderson defense right now btw, so if you can find a local deal who won't rape you on transfer fees you could potentially have one for ~2500. LMT I wouldn't spend more than 2300 for chrome lined.
If you're going to spend OBR or REPR type money get a GAP instead.
If you don't like any of the above then either assemble your own or shop around for a deal on an assembled upper and a stripped lower. If you want a 20" upper and don't mind the armalite pattern check out the stuff on 762sass.com

I'm trying to see if I can get one set up for an ops inc can. If I can't I may just build me a custom ar using the mega receiver set.

For the money I spent building a rifle around the dpms sass upper I could've had a badass rifle built around the mega receiver set.

I went with LMT. No regrets. I like the 16" chrome lined barrel for blasting and with match ammo its is a consistent 3/4 MOA gun so far. I will end up with 18" or 20" Noveske barrel for it just to take it down to the .50 level and to get a little more FPS. LMT is way to flexible to pass up IMO.

I have a DPMS and a LaRue and enjoy them both. The DPMS is an outstanding rifle for the money so if money is an issue, at least look at it. It has alot of nice extras and nothing seems to be "stock" about it. The LaRue is an awesome rifle as well. There shouldn't be anything to upgrade on it except for maybe the stock down the road.

I have a 16" POF and I can't say enough good about it. I have shot it to 650 so far and it has been very good. Then only complaint I have is the trigger....it is a nice clean breaking trigger but at 4.5# is double what my bolt guns are set at so it took some shooting to get used to it.
