Shot the new barrel today and was able to get it out to a K with ease shooting factory 140A-Max's. Wind was blowing pretty good at 10-12 mph with 20mph gusts. Next week I will try and see how it groups at 100 and test my reformed 243 brass.

I only have 2 pics so far 1 of the reformed 243 brass and 1 of the first 2 groups out of the new barrel. The group in the middle right was the first group and the one top center was the second.

The barrel is a LMT barrel, I was going to order from them but they were out. I found one at www.kingopticusa.com, they had fast shipping and great customer service. I was wanting the 260 as well but they only have it in 1/9 thats why I went with the Creedmoor. I spoke to LMT and they said they were coming out with a 1/8 260 match barrel but had no date as to when. The 6.5 Creedmoor brass is easy to reform from 243, I tried 308 but had to turn the necks. Just lube the 243 FL size it trim to length and aneal and then FL size again and it will be GTG.

Pretty sure I'll be picking one of these up for myself tomorrow. I have been waiting since May or so for a barrel that would shoot the heavy 6.5 bullets. Thanks for posting this up.

No worries, let me know what you think when you get it. Shot mine with the A2 flash hider the first time and have since installed a brake to see what the difference is. It's a 30 cal brake but should work, if not I was looking at the Surefire 6.8 brake they have.

This is the crono data from a LMT 20" 1/8 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Crono used was a Magneto Speed, and environment was measured using a Kestrel. Not great but not to bad as well for factory ammo.
Hornady Match 140gr A-Max, I pulled 2 rounds and weighed the charge at 42.7gr not the 41.5 as listed.

Can you list what lot number of ammo you have. I have a lot that is giving me good velocity as well. I got an average of 2830 through the chrono and real world DOPE putting me at 2800 even for a 21" barrel.

I spoke to LMT today and confirmed that all current barrels have a 1-9 twist and there is no plan to do a future 1-8. I was then told that the early run of the 6.5 barrels were 1-8 and some may still be found instock with distributors.
Does anyone know where I can find one of these barrels?
