Since I don't have the latest QL data (I'm at 3.2), I created a new cartridge with 52.1 gr capacity, 1.920" length, 62Kpsi Max Pressure, and 0.5 Weighting Factor.
I plan to use 139gr Scenars, with 41..42.5 gr of H4350 and 2.800" AOL.
Safe enough?

I'm using 43.5 grains of H4350 with the 130 Bergers in a .260, your load may be a little warm in the 6.5CM with 139/142's, dont know??

Re: Load for 6.5mm Creedmoor and QL

Factory load is 41.9grn of H4350 with the 140 AMAX. I have loaded them up to 43grns safetly in my rifle. Work up slowly and you should be fine.

Re: Load for 6.5mm Creedmoor and QL

You should be fine with those powder charges. I started at 42grns and went to 42.5 and 43. 42.5 shot ok but 43 shot much better and gave me about 2870fps.

I loaded them about .010" off the lands. Not sure off the top of my head what the exact OAL was.

We have had the best results with the 140 Amax!!

Re: Load for 6.5mm Creedmoor and QL

I just posted some loads HERE with my CM. I'm unable to use the factory ammo as it's too flippin slow in my rifle. I used 139 Scenars b/c it's what I had w/o having to order bullets.

I would use the AMAX's in a heartbeat though. I love the accuracy of the factory Hornady stuff, it's just not hot enough.

BC's

Lapua 139's - .615
AMAX 140's - .550
