Load for TRG 22 for long ranges?

I am trying to figure out what load to use for long ranges (600-1000 meters) with my TRG 22 (barrel 660 mm, 1:11).

I've been given two recommendations:
1) specifically for TGR 22 - 180 Gr. bullet
2) generally - 150 Gr.

If you have TRG 22, what do you shoot? Can you state parameters of your load? Specifically:

1) Bullet weight
2) Muzzle velocity
3) Cartridge Lenght

Practical advices appreciated, I am a newbie.

I shoot the 155 A max out to 1000 yards. However, I am traveling till the 14 of March. When I get home I will look at my note book and let you know what I am loading it.

Easy

155gr Lapua Scenar
Lapua brass
46.2gr of Vit 140 (Varget also works well though change weight)
2920 FPS

Thats 1 of the Finns favourite TRG loads, they know their stuff about TRG's, thats where I got it from and it works very well in my TRG22.

Mine for Tikka T3 tac .308w

155 scenar (hBN)
73mm COAL
thun brass
RWS5341 primer
N540 powder @ 47gr (+.5 in extreme cold - below 0°C)
24" barrel speed = 2930fps

Never tried N140 (for this bullet) as i get a bit more speed with N540...

Bugaboo. I didnt give my OAL as I have found on 3 different TRG's you will have 3 different chamber lengths. I did try loading to different lengths, i.e. .20, .40, .60., .80, .100, .120 back off the lands but found no real difference on group size at 100m.
The TRG is not fussy, I have had great results with 155, 168 and 175 SMK's also with 155 and 167 gr Scenars.
I gave the 155gr scenar load as this is what I have used in Fclass competition with a standard TRG and it has held its own against the custom .308's with the 32" barrels.
Trail and error. Good luck

I've just shot match ammo however I am developing a load for 155s and 210smks. Both look promising

I am developing one for 155 scenars, but my current load is:

Lapua Brass
CCI BR2
44.0 varget
175 SMK
.01" of the lands

I never could get anywhere close to 2900fps out my TRG-22 with the 155's (case full of powder was running around 2750). I ended up having my best results shooting 175smk's loaded long with RL-15. I'll look up the load and report back. Fuscalino is right, the great thing about a TRG is that it will shoot almost anything you put down it very well.

46.0 Varget 155 Scenar, Lapua Brass, Fed Large Rifle Primer, 2.95 Coal
2925 ish... Good to a mile in my TRG 22

I'm shooting 155 Scenars over varget at 2900. Shoots GREAT and FLAT. COAL is 2.90".

Try the Vihtavuori powders, I use Vit 140 and get 2920 with the 155 scenars with no pressure sign. They are great powders, very effective and clean burning. Had great results with Varget too, its just harder to get where I live.

My TRG liked the exact same load that iplumb listed...155 Scenars over 46.0 Varget, Fed 210M primers.

2845 fps
Work up load for your rifle ,this load is over max!!

For fastest speeds use h4895 or Imr xbr 8082 ,I never got the speeds I needed with varget.
