I've been contemplating buying a automatic powder measure and scale.
I currently use a RCBS uniflow powder dispenser with a RCBS scale and a trickler.
I wanted to see if I would gain any time using an automatic powder measure so I timed myself loading 20 rounds using the uniflow and then trickling and loading the case. It took me 5 and 1/2 minutes to load 20 rounds that works out to 16-1/2 seconds per round. I'm not sure that an automatic measure can do it that fast.
The last time I shot those 20 rounds my SD was 8.4 for all 20 rounds
For now I think I'll save my money.

main reason I don't go with auto powder measure is because it can't measure out to a precise amount, like 25.02 grains, the mainstream auto measures just do 25.0 and can't do it consistently. Hand measurement with good scale will be multitudes more precise, if you believe that matters. Speed is marginal, so I will choose the precision

So if I get this correctly...

1) You say you're thinking about buying an auto charging system
2) Then you say your semi-manual process is every bit as fast and just as accurate as any auto-charging system
3) Then you say you'll just stick with your semi-manual process

I'm trying to understand the point of the post, but if you're happy with your results, good for you.

I didn't know that I was actually measuring and filling cases that fast until I timed it.
