Living in a Navy town you always see the bad sh*t that goes on.
This morning this sailor threw herself in harms w ay to save a motorcyclist that crashed. She was killed by another car (Black Ice).
She died serving her country, in one small way.

GIG HARBOR — A sailor from a Bremerton-based aircraft carrier died early Monday morning when she was struck by a car while trying to help others involved in a collision.
The accident occurred at about 5:20 a.m. on westbound Highway 16 just after the Burnham Drive exit.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill said a car spun out on black ice and another car hit a responding trooper's cruiser. The trooper suffered a minor knee injury.
A woman riding a motorcycle went down, and a female sailor from the USS Nimitz got out of her car to help. A pickup then skidded and hit the cars.
Navy Region Northwest spokeswoman Sheila Murray said the 44-year-old sailor was assigned to the Nimitz. Her identity is being withheld until next of kin are notified.
Five vehicles and one motorcycle were involved in the crash, according to Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One. Five people were taken to area hospitals for various injuries.
Both westbound lanes of Highway 16 were closed for more than six hours.
Traffic was detoured around the accident via the Burnham Drive roundabout, but it backed up for several miles, to beyond the Wollochet Drive interchange
