Re: logbook notations
Use whatever system you can both understand and interpret quickly, but in my opinion I think there is a better way than your current system.
Me personally, in the event I switch optics in the future, record the actual elevation and windage setting instead of counting clicks and revolutions. So long as the scopes are tracking accurately, the setting will be the same or extremely close to it.
Also, it is easier and faster to remember and apply. For example say your turret has 10 moa per revolution, in 1/4 moa increments. If your setting is 17.5 moa, you would just set it directly to that setting rather than going one revolution and 30 clicks.
You also don't have to worry about losing count in the event you are in a stressful situation or otherwise distracted midway. Instead you are just placing it on the setting on your turret and counting be damned. Try this or don't, but like I first said use whatever method is both accurate and reliable for yourself.
