I have finished my build and it measures in at 55". I am looking for a case that will fit it. I do have a folding chassis, and that measures at 45". Would the IM3300 or the 1700 Pelican work with the rifle folded, or will the cases not be thick enough. I am sure the 1770 would work, but it is a little out of my price range.

So far, the only soft case I have found is the Voodoo Tactical. I don't mind going with a soft case, but for this build, I would rather have a hard case.

Thanks

The IM3300 will definitely work. I had a Manners folder on a rifle with a 36" barrel and longish brake and it fit fine when folded, plenty of padding and its an excellent case. Note that I built my own interior - went to a local foam shop and bought a 1' and a 2" slab of high density, 2.2# polyethylene. Use a decent fillet knife and have at it (the trick is to keep the blade dead vertical when cutting). Enjoy.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered the IM3300. I have a 3100 and took the barreled action off and put the chassis folded in the smaller case. looks like it will fit perfect. I have bought foam locally, but unfortunately the only available around here is lime green.

Thanks for all the help.
