Gun is GAP Win Mod 70 in 30-06
Mac HTG Stock
Pacnor barrel Heavy Sporter
Nikon 4-16 Tactical
Badger Base
Nightforce rings
Harris Swivel Leg notch bi-pod

Everything but the action was bought via the internet for major discount prices. For example....the stock.... I put a wanted ad on 24hrcampfire and I had a guy email me a couple days later and offered to send the stock at no cost for me to see if it would work.....said if I liked it, I could send $150. I got it and loved it but the color and sent the money. The barrel was rough turned and the original buyer did not like the "centeredness" of the bore...he wanted to unlaod it for $100.....Gap turned it for me and it is perfect. Things just kept lining up...deal wise... and the pieces all came together very well.

Load: R22 60.4gr 180gr Nosler Accubond 0.010" off Lands FGMM210 Primer Winchester brass.

This load gives me sub MOA performance out to 800yds.....my limit for rifle range.

I absolutely love the Accubond and it is all I shoot in any rifle but 223.

Never have been able to retrieve a bullet....exit wound was about 3 inches in diameter. Texas game is not the best for bullet retrieval with bonded bullets. Need to take a Texas heart shot on a large boar and see if I can keep it in the animal.

Re: Long Range....for me....hog

The 180gr Accubond is what I shoot as well out of my 300WSM. It lays out the hogs for sure. From one of my tower blinds I can see a feeder that is 490 yards away, sooner or later a big Boar will show hopefully sooner.

5Redman8 was your hog a DRT or did it run a short distance?

Nice shooting!

Re: Long Range....for me....hog

We hunt near Dickens Texas. It is a small place but very cheap and we have a nice wheat field.

Hogs have been real slow this year but they are picking up as the wheat grows.
