Are there any spots to shoot long range in Iceland? My family is taking a trip in August and I’m always looking for new spots to shoot.

Do they have long range there that isn't interrupted by a glacier or volcano?
Or am I thinking of Greenland?
Either way, I would use the old Google box to look for ranges. Good luck trying to read Icelandic even with a translator.

I'm not looking to bring my rifle to Iceland, was hoping to get together with a fellow shooter and pay them to shoot with them.
You should contact the guys at Skotfélag Austurlands (aka SKAUST) and they'll most likely hook you up. They have a beautiful range, but it's almost an eight hour drive from Reykjavik.
(If I recall correctly their range goes out to 500 meters.)

There's also an outdoor rifle range just outside of Reykjavik operated by Skotfélag Reykjavikur , but it's only 300 meters long.

Ya, I get it. You can definitely look at it from that angle. But another member invited me out to his place to shoot 2,400 yards. Now we talk every single day. You never know until you ask.
