personally i can't walk out back door and shoot high power rifles 2 miles.... yet.... so i use 22 for local training and plinking fun since the closes range over 200 is a 4 hour drive for me

i zero my rimfiles at 50y for practical use and use my mils for hold over past that i practice with gemtech subsonic 42 gr cause i have a bunch of it and it shoots well i find i use 3 mils hold over at 100 and 9 mils at 200 like to turn the scope down for the 200 so it gives longer range feel and its funny to outshoot guys playing with high power rigs with a 22 on public range its amazing they cant quite grasp how it works i tell them its like shooting 308 at a thousand training wise

I have a Anschutz 1827F 22rf, custom 30moa steel mount, with S&B 5-25 and H59 reticle. So far I've made it to 675Y dialed out and holding over in the reticle. When you have to holdover a bunch plus holdoff like 4-5 mils of windage the grid pattern does make it easier.

Not many tips to disclose, just shoot and have fun, learn as you go. Ammo with lowish ES and moa accurate helps.
