Rifle Scopes Long-term storage of high end optics

I'm leaving the country for a couple of years and will be storing my guns at a friend's house by putting my entire safe in his garage. The environment is 100F and very low humidity during the summer. Mild winters, but even lower humidy in the winter.

The question is will storing the guns with the scopes (2x S&Bs and a Votex PST) in the garage in the safe hurt the rubber seals or silicone or whatever in that very hot and dry environment? Or would it be better to store the optics in the air conditioned house?

I doubt it would be very harmful, but that said I would take the scopes off and store them inside somewhere, maybe a safe deposit box?
