Anyone watch this show on sportsman channel? It's been interesting to watch. Gives an idea of how matches are conducted for someone who's never been to one. Are any of the shooters on the show members of the hide? Just curious about other opinions of it.

Several of the members of the show are present here on the Hide. The show does do a good job of showing the stages in a matches and right now it's about the only thing out there trying to get our little sport some airtime. Of course there's TV drama and they don't show any shooters that aren't part of the show, but it's good for what it's intended purpose is.

Do they ghey it up with drama like "Oh no will Bodie be able to complete the stage despite his failing extractor?" than cut to commercial or do they just let the shooting speak for itself?

    Reality shows have ruined TV.

It's called Longrange Reality. I wouldn't consider it a "reality" show like some assume. It just follows several 2 man teams in PRS matches across the northwest. 2 episodes were at the Sniper's Hide Cup. Saw Frank on there too.

I would find that to be good entertainment watching good shooters, or bad, shoot without the stupid reality drama........Gamechanger.

Hahaha, okay thanks. I guess I was a bit dense and took the thread topic to be general rather than specific. I'll see if I can find it.

The show has improved vastly since the first few episodes aired last year. They, I assume the producers, were trying to do some kind of a contrived cutesy bullshit like Duck Commander. Stupid shit.
Not sure if someone got fired or what, but they got it back on track and are doing a good job with it now.
You're not going to learn any technical stuff from it, but it's better than most of the other shit on TV.

I kinda thought the same of what I saw, haven't seen any lately though.

As a competitive 3 Gunner I expected this show to be much better the matches are lame, the pistol work is laughable (not that I am a pistol god) the job they do filming the actual shooting
is not good and its grossly over dramatized for TV. It could be a great show and I think the PRS circuit is a good thing. no doubt it would be fun to compete in. I just don't like the way it turned out. that said I don't like the 3 Gun Nation shows either they do not show 3 gun in any reality just shoot off stages that are fun to shoot but make for poor TV they should show actual Stages from their regional matches that are way different and way more challenging for the average shooter. That said I do watch Long Range Reality as I can I do think it could be a way better product.
