I am getting a 6br barrel built for my next barrel and I shoot PRS and am looking for anyone who has experience shooting a 6br curious to see what different powders, bullets, loads, etc. you have ran that you liked or didn't like. I can get the Sierra 107s pretty easily so thinking of running them. Would it be worth it to create a cheap practice load? As I have access to 200 yards all the time to practice barricades and what not.

I can also get
105 Hybrids
105 BTHP Hornady
108 ELD Hornady
OPEN TO OPTIONS

Will be running an Impact action.

The barrel specs are the following
27" Long Benchmark MTU Contour
7.5 Twist
0.120" free bore

I just started running a 6BR with an Impact action and a 27.5" Schneider 7 twist barrel built by C&H Precision Weapons. So far I am really liking the 107 Matchkings and H4895 lit by CCI 450s. I have 2 nodes, one at 29.1g & 2822fps and the other at 30.5gr & 2934fps.

That’s good to hear what mags are you running? Any modifications to them?

So far I have had good feeding with magpul 10 rounders and one with the c&h +2 extender, but the 5 round magpul gave me trouble. I have not had a chance to run them in a competition yet so am not ready to say they are 100% reliable...

I have 2 6mmBrs. Both are 26" +/- long and one is an MTU the other is a M. Palma. I like the MTU more for balance but that doesn't really matter for this topic. One is a 7.5 twist the other is 7.75.

Both shoot 30grs of Varget under a 105 hybrid at 2,850 to 2,870 FPS. The M. Palma is a little faster (2,870 FPS) and the MTU is a tad slower.

TBH, all the loads had good accuracy and good ES/SD numbers.

Yeah I definitely like the MTU I have on my 6.5 right now adds a lot more balance to the front of the rifle. The 105s seem like the way to go I thought I would be able to get them a little better than I thought but they are still hard to come by.

I've heard from different people to just try them and see how they do and adjust them accordingly.
