Yes. I agree about accuracy being better in DI rifles. I don’t really find myself concerned with dirty DI systems. My MWS functions reliably dirty or clean.

Amen. Piston MAY have an edge normally(I'm not convinced) but suppressed they get just as dirty just as fast.

I haven't been really into or messed with gas guns for five or six years, and maybe the technology has overcome it, but to me "piston" and precision don't go together. It's been my experience that my most accurate gas guns are all direct impingement, and that the advantage of piston is ONLY that they don't get as dirty as fast, and you can keep shooting without cleaning for a lot longer before it starts to malfunction. Seems like all the piston guns I've owned and shot were disappointing in precision, where as some of the direct impingement rifles were sub moa consistently. IF you care about such things...

Ya know I've read that a few times, but never given it much thought until my recent desire to get into long range shooting. A 'long' shot at a deer where we are is 100 yards. For a hog or yote at night with thermal half that so sub MOA while nice just hasn't been on my decision tree as to whether I can take it into the woods any kill whatever I need. Still watching/reading/learning on the periphery with .224 while waiting on a LR facility to open, but the Craddock Precision I'm drooling over should fill that DI void.

And buckshot I agree on the dirty rifle conversation. Honestly I can't tell the difference b/t old DI's and new piston it's just filthy as heck after a couple of mags. I do love the scent of victory always coming out the suppressor though even days later!
