Will be traveling to North Texas (DFW area) mid-Jan 2021, looking for a place to air our some ammo past 1000 (preferably past a mile)... any accessible places for an "outsider"?

The Triple C range. Located SW of Ft worth, near Cresson. Nice range and nice staff. You can shoot out to 2000 yards.
Triple C and they have monthly ELR matches I believe.

OK just heard Triple C is closing their 2000K range effective January 1st 2021... So any other options??????
Northeast Texas Tactical in Terrell. Just east of Dallas. Has 1 mile range
Will they allow 338lm? I get different answers, also is the range really 1 mile or 1500 yds?
Stupid range owners, they are all good with .300 norma because well it's that magic thirty caliber B.S. but OMG it would be horrible for you to use a .338 because that's bigger than our FUDD diameter....
my issues with Northeast Texas Tactical is based on their website you have to jump thru a bunch of hoops to shoot out to their mile and it's only open on the weekends. My range day is usually on Mondays when I'm off work and the restriction of no .338
I just checked with them on caliber restrictions and this was the reply...
" We do have a caliber restriction up to .30 cal. Sorry, no 338s allowed, we just don't have the room for it. "
Room for it? Soooo a .300LM, .30-378, or a Lazzeroni 7.82 Warbird is cool then? All good, it's their range and I respect that but it looks like I'm Oklahoma bound for my ELR shooting.

^^^ @Stevo86 nailed it. Fouled Bore Precision in Ninnekah, OK. I asked them about caliber restrictions and they told me .338LM is cool but only at 600 yards and further out. I can work with that!
Another option is Rebel Ridge in Syracuse, KS. They have 3600 yards and no caliber restrictions...
The hard part (for me) is they are just shy of 700 miles away.

thinking the same, though I am going to wait for warmer weather personally
I still cant believe there isn't any options for ELR in Texas ... there has to be somewhere I can .338 and ding steel at a mile on my day off from Dallas Ft. Worth
So I got to Fouled Bore Precision today. Very nice facility and worth the trip. Range is well cared for, the owner Justin is a good dude, and they are pretty chill about caliber. Only rule they have is no closer than 600 with .338 and no closer than 800 with .50. Oh, and watch out for cows (it’s a working farm)! The weather was horrid but that made it all the better and I had a great time! Shouldn’t be too much of a long haul for the Dallas crew!

Oh, and got an e-mail from Triple C about 45 minutes ago. They are closing permanently Here's a copy and paste...

It is with a hurting heart, I must announce that Triple C Range is permanently closed. This is something that has happened over the last few days.
Reason.
We were engaged in a long term lease with the landlord for a portion of the property. For those familiar with the property, this will hopefully make sense. The portion the range is located on, is solely owned by our landlord (or most of it…more on that in a minute). The front part of the property up to the last cattle guard you cross, which was located at Area A&B is part of a trust, which is why we never shot up there. The trust also controls the use of the road leading back to the range.
The area from approximately the 700 yard line and further at Area D is on the trust. It was ours and the landlord understanding we were good to have targets on that part of the property. Recently that has been clarified and we can not.
The trust has decided not to accept our proposal to lease the areas mentioned above. Without permission for commercial use of the road, we can’t get to the range and operate a business. There’s no other access other than the road.
This is the only reason we are closing. Any other reason you hear is a lie. I am being as transparent as one can.
This is a matter of oversight by some people and I don’t feel it was malicious or misleading by anyone.
To our Members:
If we debited your card monthly, we have stopped all those recurring charges.
If you paid for the year up front, we will figure out the time left on your membership and will mail a refund check for the difference. It’s going to take some time, but you can expect a check within 90 days.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last several years building the range to what it was. The relationships, friendships, community and family that was created is priceless to me.
Thank you for your business and the opportunity to serve you the last few years."
That sucks hard! Loved the facility, loved the people, and loved the location. I was hoping to go visit in a couple months and play at the 1000 yard range even if the 2K range was gone...

very much so .... North East Texas Tactical is going to have to start being open on Mondays .... now if I could shoot .338 there that would be better
Exactly, really sucks that they are concerned about 338 but not oh I dunno 300NM...
I emailed them about opening Mondays other than national holidays but we should have a SH Day out there.
We could probably work out with the owners of TacPro to do a SH range day one weekend at their place.
It would be a bit nicer as they allow everything including .50BMG to shoot.
They are open during the week too, but I'll bet a weekend gets more attendance.
There is a nice little motel about 2 miles away as well if folks want to stay overnight.
We might have to set it up for a bit later in the year when Covid is not freaking everyone out.
I would suggest however spring or late fall, unless you love brutal baking summer heat.
I've been going to TacPro shooting center for close to 20 years.
The owner (Bill) and his wife (Michele) are great people to deal with and are very friendly.
They also do suppressor transfers as well as being a suppressor dealer, and let you have "visitation rights" while your suppressors are locked up.
They have the silencer shop kiosk, so if you need suppressor transfers done or to buy some, they are a great place to do it at.
They also do FFL transfers.
I've done that match twice (back when it only had 2 relays), and it was probably one of the most fun & enjoyable matches you could ever want.
No pressure at all and everybody hanging out and having a good time.
Just you and 10 rounds against the wind and all the time in the world to decide when you feel the wind is right for the shot.
July is a bit too hot for me to be out shooting, but if it's a cold summer, I might make it.
At least from the pictures of northeast tactical, looks like they have a good assortment of steel set up all the way out to a mile
Email reply from North East Tactical is weekdays are reserved for Private Leasing starting at $500 for the day. Suggested ETTS as an alternative option for shooting out to 1200yds
Depending on how many guys we have interested that’s not a bad deal. Typically I think the range fee is around $65 per person
They do, and they're kept freshly painted.
NETT requires a membership and qualification, but you can pay a ”daily” membership fee. The elevated platform also limits the potential number of shooters.
It is a friendly and well run facility.
ETTS is even more limited than NETT wrt number of shooting positions available.
